Erik Brewer, Senior, is the first player to join the 500 club when he accomplished the wall-ball competition on Sunday. Erik video taped the excercise and the coaches have reviewed it and declared Erik is the first to qualify. He will receive a t-shirt and his name on a plaque outside the coaches classrooms. Way to go Erik! And go Wildcats!
We are starting a new program called “500” to recognize those players that work to develop exceptional stick skills. Any player that can complete a Wall Ball routine of 500 throws with no drops will get a T-shirt and have their name posted on an awards board outside Coach Hennelly and Spotz’s room.

The Boys Summer League concluded last Monday night when a strong bolt of lightening struck close to the field and the playoffs were canceled. The program was a success, however, as we recruited five very talented rising 8th-graders that looked great on the field and played well against high school experienced players. These players are the building blocks for our future race to the championship! And, they all had a great time! See the photos.
The Duluth Lacrosse Summer Camp concluded on Sunday with a informal game of guys vs. girls. "Camp was a great success from the parents and coaches view point", says Jerry Consie - Youth Camp Director. "We have a small group this year but we need to start somehwere and this is great.", added Consie. There may be a few more camps like this in the near future so stay tuned. Check out the photos and video in our family album.
The Duluth Lacrosse Summer Camp program held its' first-ever youth camp on Friday through Sunday July 23. We have a small group which gives the attendees a lot on individual attention from the coaches. The camp runs through Sunday, July 25. On Friday night, a 'Lacrosse for Parents' session was held to educate the parents of players the ins and outs of the game. The session was well received and the parents actually had the chance to catch and throw the ball! At least they know what it feels like now! The picture on the left shows one young girls appreciation by making a thank-you card for the Coach! Check out the photos and video in our family album. Go Wildcats!

Playing in her first year as a freshman, Emily Calvert has been named to the Gwinnett All-County Second Lacrosse Team! With one goal, 18 ground balls, and 24 caused turn-overs, Emily is the first Duluth LadyCat Lacrosse player to be named to the All-County team. We are all proud of Emily and her leadership! The players are nominated by coaches and adminstrators for their leadership on and off the field. This is yet another mildstone for Duluth Lacrosse. The LadyCats went 4 -12 this past season in their inaugural season.
New dates are July 23, 24, and 25.

Out with the old and in with the new in June! We begin the second chapter in our young life at Duluth Lacrosse. We look forward to even a better year than the past Inaugural Season. We have a lot of new talent from the halls of Duluth High School. We also have some extremely talented Freshman joining the team from Duluth Middle School. We begin our summer program next Monday, June 6 by playing in the DoubleStixx Lacrosse League at North Springs High School. It is not too late to register to play! We also will be participating in the Fall League with Double Stixx. We would like to field two teams this year - Varsity and JV. We certainly have enough interest in Duluth Lacrosse to do so. The Fall League will be a prerequisite for Spring Varsity/JV play.
We also will be hosting some summer clinics this year for interested players ages 8-18. See www.duluthyouth.com/lacrosse for details.
We will be adding to the coaching staff for next year's second season. Both Boys and Girls programs will get help from some very talented ex-players and local favorites. We will keep you posted with updates to the website.
If anyone is interested in being a member of the Booster club and can contribute your talents to this already successful program, please let us know. Email us at contacts@duluthlax.com and we will get right back to you. We are still looking for a fundraising chairperson, so please let us know.
